Etihad partners with IATA for Covid-19 Travel Pass | News

The International Air Transportation Association and Etihad Airways have signed a partnership to start the IATA Vacation Move for attendees.

The cell app is built to aid travellers very easily and securely control their travel in line with authorities prerequisites for Covid-19 checks or vaccines.

IATA Vacation Move will initially be made available to Etihad’s visitors on picked flights from Abu Dhabi in the first quarter of 2021.

If productive, the pass will be extended to other locations on the Etihad network.

The IATA Journey Pass will enable Etihad’s guests to generate a ‘digital passport’ to acquire Covid-19 exam success and confirm they are suitable to undertake their journey.

Importantly, IATA Vacation Pass will continue to keep travellers in control of their data and facilitate the sharing of their test with airways and authorities for vacation.

It will also make it handy for travellers to control journey documentation in the course of their journey.

“Covid-19 assessments and vaccinations will be key to get the environment traveling again.

“Since August, Etihad is the only airline necessitating a pre-departure adverse PCR examination result for all passengers worldwide, and all over again on arrival in Abu Dhabi, providing our visitors the included assurance of basic safety when they vacation with us.

“A higher precedence for Etihad is for our company to have an uncomplicated, protected and effective way to determine and verify their information and facts,” Mohammad Al Bulooki, main operating officer, Etihad Aviation Team.

Etihad has been actively exploring the roll out of electronic wellbeing certification for its visitors, and this most current partnership with IATA, alongside related programmes the airline has in improvement, shows the technologies is advancing promptly to make it a fact.
