Children in Holmes Chapel celebrate Queen’s Platinum Jubilee
Children are fast paced preparing for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Pupils from Holmes Chapel and Hermitage main universities have been decorating bunting triangles.
Little ones dressed up in red, white and blue for platinum occasion discos organised by the PTA.
Youngsters have also enjoyed street get-togethers, picnics and Jubilee-themed athletics times and assemblies.
Regal displays now festoon the village thanks to the attempts of Holmes Chapel Local community Yarn Bombers, the U3A and area Background Society.

A rooftop beacon will be lit on the summit of the Grade I detailed church tower at St Luke’s Church on Thursday, June 2.
London Street will be shut for the celebration from 8pm as local enterprises are encouraged to be part of the celebration.
A piper will participate in a distinctive bugle phone entitled Majesty ahead of a beacon is lit at 9.45pm, as section of a nationwide celebration.
Altogether, 2,022 beacons will be lit throughout the region and burn up right until 10.30pm.
